We're excited to announce our participation in the upcoming British Toxicology Society (BTS) Congress 2025, taking place from May 7th to 9th, 2025! This year's congress promises to be a valuable platform for sharing the latest advancements and discussing critical topics in toxicology.
We are particularly thrilled to be presenting our work on "Enhancing QSAR predictions for acute oral toxicity: A QAF-compliant approach using CaTMOS and the OECD QSAR ToolBox" by Elena Fioravanzo.
Join Elena's oral communication on:
Date: Day 2 - Thursday, May 8th, 2025
Time: 15:15 – 15:30 BST
Location: Oral communications 2 | Space 4 & 5, Level 12
In this presentation, Elena will delve into the challenges and opportunities of achieving regulatory compliance for QSAR models, particularly in the context of acute oral toxicity prediction. She will showcase our innovative approach that integrates the Collaborative Acute Toxicity Modeling Suite (CaTMOS) with the powerful capabilities of the OECD QSAR ToolBox.
Key highlights of the presentation include:
Understanding the importance of the OECD QSAR Assessment Framework (QAF) for regulatory acceptance.
Demonstrating how the OECD QSAR ToolBox can be leveraged to enhance the transparency and reliability of CaTMOS predictions.
Illustrating a practical case study (CAS 944263-65-4) where integrating these tools led to a refined and mechanistically supported LD50 prediction through a read-across approach.
Highlighting the potential of this integrated workflow to improve the regulatory compliance of QSAR-based toxicity assessments and reduce reliance on animal testing.
We believe this presentation will be of significant interest to toxicologists, risk assessors, and anyone involved in the development and application of computational toxicology methods for regulatory purposes.
If you're attending the BTS Congress 2025, taking place from May 7th to 9th, we encourage you to join Elena's session on Thursday, May 8th to learn more about this exciting development. We'd also love to connect with you to discuss how our innovative solutions can support your work.
We look forward to a stimulating and insightful congress!
