Bridging the Gap at the BTS Annual Congress 2026 (Voco St. John’s, Solihull, April 27th - 29th 2026)

Computational toxicology is no longer just a "nice-to-have"—it is becoming the backbone of rapid regulatory risk assessment.

At ToxNavigation, our mission has always been to demystify these digital tools for the broader toxicological community. Whether through our eLearning courses or our consultancy projects, we aim to show that in silico methods aren't a "black box," but a transparent, cost-effective way to prioritize chemical safety.

We are thrilled to announce that Peter Russell and Elena Fioravanzo will be attending the BTS Annual Congress 2026 in Solihull from April 27th to 29th. We aren't just there to listen; we are presenting two posters that showcase how high-throughput frameworks can solve real-world hurdles.

What We Are Presenting

Our research focuses on automating complex decision-making processes to ensure accuracy and speed:

  • Endocrine Activity Screening: "High-throughput in silico screening for endocrine-related activity using a KNIME-based decision tree framework"

We explore how open-source platforms like KNIME can be used to build robust decision trees, helping toxicologists identify endocrine disruptors early in the pipeline.

  • PBT and PMT Hazard Prioritization: "Integrated In Silico Screening for PBT and PMT Hazards: A High-Throughput Regulatory Prioritization Framework"

Addressing the growing regulatory focus on Persistence, Bioaccumulation, and Toxicity (PBT), as well as Mobility (PMT), this poster introduces a streamlined framework for chemical prioritization.

These projects are the result of an incredible international collaboration between ToxNavigation, Elena Fioravanzo and Peter Russell, and a team of scientists of Reckitt (https://www.reckitt.com/) Amit Singh, Malay Bhowmik, Minne Heringa, Joanna Rowland, and Sylvie Saulzet.

If you are attending the BTS Congress, please come find us! We’d love to discuss how these computational frameworks can be integrated into your existing workflows or how our training programs can help your team bridge the skills gap.
